I was there today testing equipment and found 4" of ice in 78FOW. The top 1" layer was white and under was 3" of honeycomb ice... I wouldn't walk on that ice on a warm day.

I fished for about 30 minutes after my testing was done. Marked the odd one and a bunch of bait down 40 feet. Caught nothing. There were a few others fishing and I didn't see anyone catch anything.

At the parking lot there was alot of police activity. Detectives, dogs even a Barrie Police Motorhome was parked there. Must have been about 8 Police vehicles there. When I came off the ice I thanked them for watching over my truck...lol

I only decided to go late last night.

Testing went very well!

Should mention that it only took 2 wacks with my spud to go through the ice.
