| The whole top tightened back up to-day, a couple of places where the snow drifts were heavier, the cold did not penetrate through to the slush, but those areas are minimal. Unfortunately we cancelled everyone for today because of the poor top conditions, the last 3 days were brutal, kicked our butts and made our machines work overtime. We were trudging through slush and snow and it didn't matter if you broke a new trail or used an old trail...anything above the ice surface was like jello. The ice surface itself is still perfect, 10 to 12'' of good black ice ( well below our seasonal average, but all's good now) Went out today to bank up all of the huts and the Argo stayed right on top of everything !!! Total opposite of yesterday. By tomorrow you will find another 5-7 inches of white ice on top of the black ice after this freeze up, very cold! Today the wind was howling and pretty much white outs all day. Got hit by 4 or 5 fronts today with total whiteouts, filled in all the ruts from yesterday, with a -26C windchill. Back in action tomorrow. All rapairs have been done and we are ready to fish tomorrow. Have some decent cold temps this week, great! Fishin has been good all week, don't see any changes in the pattern, shinners workin well. Picture is of our camp today. Give us a buzz if you are interested in getting out there! Just a reminder please be safe and never go alone, all lakes and rivers have their own hazzardous areas, know your ice surfaces, for the areas you are fishing, Thanks to Mark ''R'' and pals, Mike Van Epps, Stewart McLean(CBC Radio), York Region Tourism and all the people who use our service and to those who just follow our reports. For all the details just click on our site. Lets go fishin' and take a kid with you................Cheers................... Whitey Attachment: DSC01858.JPG (Downloaded 77 times)

hey whitey, I love the reports that you're putting out. They're definitely lots of help! How much to rent out a hut for the day? Do you have any availability on saturday or sunday?

| Hi RR, It's like anything else, if you hit a slush hole hard and try and bulldoze through it you could get hung up. But, when I hit a deep slush hole I just let off the throttle and tip toe through it. As far as good conditions where slush is not thick enough to get you hung up, you can just plough through it. All in all a great machine...high maintenance but great. Rick

| Hi, there is no snow out there right now, the top is as hard as cement. You should be good to go if we don't get a major snowfall. Rick
