I'm heading out to Lake Simcoe (south/east side) on Sat Feb 16. Our primary objective is whitefish. We have our own equipment and portable hut.

Does anyone have any advice on the best locations, depth of water, places to get minnows, and transportation out to deeper water? Thanks for the advice.

Sometimes I read messages too quick and I missed the date you mentioned.. just so you're aware, there's incentive to come over to the west side of the lake on that day... the gofishont hardwater challenge - our very own ice fishing derby.. you can get the details at http://www.gofishont.com/challenge

Hey Mike,

where are you on the west side? Are you a hut operator? I'm looking for a hut to rent on Saturday or Sunday for the day. I'm hoping my bud will come out but it might just be me out there. If you are a hut operator how much do you charge for a day rental?

Geoff.

Geoff; if you go to  the home page, I believe there are some ads for local hut operators.

Im sure they can get you what you need.

Hey Geoff, no I'm not a hut operator.. As disspatcher mentioned, there are ads on the front page for the operators.. I see Love2Fish have just moved some huts over the trout areas if thats of interest to you.

regards, Mike.
