Hi everyone!!  Just wondering how bad the conditions are. Is there lots of slush/water on the ice?  I'm flying solo tomorrow, and was thinking of walking with my clam out to the whitey grounds. Think its doable?? Maybe long shoal??  I'm not afraid of a long walk as long as the conditions are right, and I'm sick of fishing at BBP.(although the fishing has been great!!) just want a change of scenery.  If anyone has been out that way today, a report would really help. Also if anyone want to hook up for a day of fishing, I'm into that too!! (boring by my self)  Thanks again!!

Thanks horseshoe.  Ya tomorrow is the best bet for me this week. Going up to bernard on wednesday and thurs. hopefully thing will tighten up for the morning. supposed to get cold tonite. Might just be back to BBP. The fishing has been great there, but i cant seem to get into the whiteys. Catchin lots of lakers though. Ive tried the beach a couple of times, but cant seem to catch anything but perch. Go figure!!

Was very walkable today. Lots of water on top but should be dry in the morning(cleats). Park at the end of Salvation army rd there is lots of parking on the ice(shallow beach area)Slyatv is usually there first light and for 20 buck give you a boot out and back(More time to fish,no sweating and grunting).

I was out there today off salvation army road about a mile and a half off shore the skidoo had no problems,  was alot of wet spots and very slippery to walk. Like Iceguy said getting a lift out  makes for more fish time.

Ya the ice is very slippery. What snow that was there this morning, was all gone by this aft. Decided to skip out on the Bernard trip, and fish simcoe some more today.  Yesterday tried several depths and only marked a handful of fish with no takers.  Today helped Iceguy move his hut and we were on fish. got one laker and two whiteys and marked fish steady all day. most of the fish we marked, would just come up off bottom look at the bait then just swim away, but we got a few.  The guy next to us iced a monster laker.  Close to 15lbs.    Thanks to Iceguy for the day in his hut, and thanks to sly for the lifts out and back.  What a beauty day it was.  I'll be back out Friday.
