I never landed white fish in Somcoe, and I want to try again this weekend.

Any one can provide me any tips where I can get white fish, walking less than 2 KM?

I went to BP two weeks ago and got nothing. It is worth to try BBP, Shanty Bay?

Thanks

Crappie fun, Shanty is a good bet, but receives a lot of pressure, especially on weekends. There are a lot of fish around, just get away from the pack. bbp is the same way, but not as many people. Get there early for parking. If you are coming from Toronto, I would head to bbp, you save a bit of time on driving (more time on the ice).

Good luck oh and another tip. If you are going to be using minnows, I wouldn't even bother wasting $$ on big shiners. Just grab a scoop of the smalls and use the biggest of them. That's what I have been catching lakers/ whites on.

I have never targeted those fish in that area, I'm looking at my hydrographic chart and it looks like 300 - 400 yards and you're in the ball park. A lot of reports saying that perch are harrasing the area up to 95 fow.
