~~~Was out with Slug, and Kris on Saturday with Hanks Phishen Service, and a whole lot of other buddys, Here's Muskie-Bait, Slug and Kris on the ride out
It was a slow day missed 3 hits on my line kris also missed a hit, but we had lots of visitors dropping in to meet my 2 favorite buddies Jack, and Daniels, here's some shots, and pics also
And you ask why was I so happy because this was laying on the ice
and these 2 are just waiting till the next time we go out. I think I'll have a long walk in
Nice fish glad you were able to take on some visitors. I think that we should have insisted that the Jack and Daniels group stop by Pat and myself. Open ice fish on Saturday on the BOQ and not a guest to be found. Well other then the 4 perch we asked to come home and have supper with us, the wind would have blown the visitors off the ice.
Hey OP, if J and D are such good friends, why do keep killing them? lol.
Glad you got out with Hanks, hope that wasn't all your gear in the photo inside the Bombardier. Talk about travel light. We fished a few miles further out and a few feet deeper, what a mess of fish on the ice out there. Set the odometer on the bike before heading in, 13.0 km to the shore. Great day, got my first one within five minutes, trout, second one five minutes later, whitefish. That's how the day was out deep.
| ~~~~Ya Keith I know what your talking about, I was a little disapointed to be phishen in 62', which is another reson I don't like to rent a hut, even in June when I'm phishen for Whities I'm out deep, away from the pack. When Gord Booth ran Kingfishers his huts were always in 90' of water, away from the crowd. Now almost imposible to get away, on your own.
Good job OP. They were far and few between. We had the same crew hut hopping to ours too.
