I was thinking about walking out for some Perch from Gilford this long weekend.  Will the ice be safe?

How many feet of water do you suppose they will be in this time of year?

Thanks in advance.

hoping to get out myself ...was in that area today but not able to get to the lake ...i thinks its a tad wet on top but there shuld be lotsa ice ///remember theres warm runoff occurring now as well so always have a plan to get off  incase ur access point is no longer good....the weekend calls for some colder nites etc so that shuld tighten things up ...i'll be on da prowl tomorro to have a peek ...lets hope a few anglers got out today and got a report

Made it out this morning and there is tons of ice, I would estimate 18 inches.  A few trucks out and they didn't seem to be having any trouble.

We went down to the south of Cooks bay from Gilford and the bite was okay until about 9:00 am then it shut down completely.

Nice sunny day to be out!
