After getting a fair meal yesterday , todays adventures took me on a wild turkey Chase ( pardon the pun ) .. HA HA HA HA HA HA
After spending two hours Washing my Wilcraft and making her sparkle , it was time to tour ! First I took a blast around to Willow Beach . There I met up with a FEW guys , Some with fish , some WITHOUT ? ! There was a Vehicle way out , I wonder what he was fishing 4.. I settled in a 'secret cove' 18 ft of water . Drilled thru what seemed to be 30 inches of ice . I get set up and start conversation with a nearby fisherman . After two minutes of Jiggin' , I notice THREE headlights coming our way .. I knew for sure , Yellow reflective vests ..YUP . York Regional Police ...
Sure enough , We get a visit , .. Good to see the authorities are still out there ! I show them How the Wilcraft works . We go thru the 'numbers' .... Motor size , Hull length , etc.. And they agreed with the Customs people that the Wilcraft didn't need 'numbers or plates' . For sure I would need my Small craft operators licence . Got that . Never asked for the ''paperwork'' ( I know 'they' read the boards , 'they' knew me as Sly.. )
After a short visit they have other business to deal with and away they went... Fishing was SLOW ! I pack up and Split .. Drove over to the river stopping now and again to ''TRY'' ..... Jackson's was dead .. over by the river I noticed the Ice is really washed out from underneath , didn't stop me from driving across it though . Fished around there ... Slow only 2 fish .no keepers ...GONE .. as I venture back along the Dock by the Blue Bridge , I noticed the ice had actually broken away when I drove in towards the BLUE bridge . I sure hope no four wheelers travel that route. Well I splash thru the 'open' water and round the end of the dock .. Over by Sibbalds Point , there are SEVERAL fishermen . Jeez I thought .. Why would there be fish there..? Let's look ! Not quite Zoom Zoom Zoom but even so I 'zip' over to that Point .. nine fishermen 1 fish on the ice .. 1 Guy was walking around Dragging his ''clam'' and all his gear . Well , sure enough , I get a visit from this guy while I am setting up ...Figured might as well try .. But never got a chance to . I show him all she's got . He's in 'love' ....LOL.. I let him drive it ... He asks for a card..Then Says he's from the States... 'mgine that someone from the United States fishing perch here in Simcoe ! So I Gave him yer card John ! ! He was pretty happy with the fact he didn't ever have to load and unload his gear . I'm sure you'll hear from him..
NO FISH ! ! ! None for him , none for me ... Later Bro ... Off I go . I hit the shoal off the river .. Nothing on the fishfinder.. stopped at a few spots in Jackson's .. NO FISH on the finder ,,, no fish on the little williams ..Guess what .... there's NO FISH in SIMCOE... Oh did I mention I left the Wife Home for this afternoons adventure LMAO ...Stupid Me ...
I gets home and of course dinner is ready .. PERFECT .. Lets go fishing LOL.
Whrrr ... off to the 'Secret Cove' ! Sure is nice to have lights inside .. and outside for that matter..BUT See, I took her out and FISH ON... ! ! Landed this beauty during this evenings adventure... Still only one but hey .. No skunk on me ... She got a couple as well Soooooo ... WHAT did you do this evening..

| I was sitting here home the other evening and my phone rang ...an ol fish pal saying hi and wanting to warn me not to be frightened if i see a monster corming at me out on simcoe ....well i kinna perked a bit asking what the H was he talking about ...well he said i drove out offa willow beach area to do a bitta fishing with a pal and he said we sat there enjoying a beautiful sunrise ....the bite was on so we were catching a few nice fish and i heard this funny noise ...sounded like a growl and puff n snort ..i looked up but the sun was rite in my eyes as it came up the horizon ...i could see a outline of a monster like thing comin towards us...it looked black at first we thought too big for a bear then it stopped...we sat there lookin but went a head fishing ...wee bit later we heard that growl and snort again ...what to 'ell is that we wonder ...i asked buddy did ya get to see ...so my friend went on... he said we sure did ...this damm thing was cumin rite at us and as it got closer we could see it was kinna greenish and had black paws n a brown body.... well few minutes went by and low a behold this thing appeared before us ...there was a rucas n rattle n rumble and this alien appeared ...not sure if it was a hunter or a rainbird kinna alien but a fisher kinna guy ...hes kinna sly and hes in a boat...no an atv ...no its a WILCRAFT....and ya never guess whose at the helm... so if you fellers are out there and that monster sneeks up on ya have a look ...my buddy said he was sum impressed with this machine ...had him thinking...and buddy got a argo...so must be nice. no bull my buddy did call to tell me about this toy ...hadda say omg you been wilcrafted
