Just a question on the Talbot river, is she opening or open yet. The reason I call it she is because of her big mouth and all was wet.......................

Hi Redfisher
Guys I think that it is protected from fishing right now, Please check the regs. Been on the rivers to see the Walleye spawn and it is a sight to see. I do not know how or why our goverment lets ANYBODY can spear/slaughter them when they spawn. Sorry but its a pet peeve of mine.Good times to all
Take care

Oh yeah FishingBarry it's a sanctuary for a couple extra weeks after regular walleye opening I believe. We were just flirting with disaster calling the Talbot a lady because of some similar features..lol..

| No man, I am after the jumbo perch run, you can fish the bridge out to the mouth. I bring the canoe up and sit out at the mouth as not much room on the banks sometimes.

| Count me in at the mouth as well. Been blasting long casts off the north breakwall for about 7 years now. This year I think I'm gonna bring the boat. The river level is super high and blown right now, should be settled and fishable by next weekend if the warm temps keep up and minimal rain.

Out of Beaverton are some of the best perch grounds I've found on Simcoe. Except for one or two other little spots I ain't talk'n much about..
What the bonus about Beverton is (for me..) there's a sk8board park in town.. I can then bribe jr... a little boarding & perch'n make for a great day with my boy.
ps.. hey FishingBarry.. if you get that trailer stuck.. I'm only 40 minutes down the road..give me a call my friend I'll be there.
