hahah.. sorry for the late report.. was too busy eating fresh WHITEFISH..
It turned out to be a great day.. I spent the morning getting the boat ready and by early afternoon we had it hooked up to the truck and headed for innisfil beach.
After a quick stop for some supplies we were out there, the water was beautifully calm, lots of sunshine through only a couple clouds and a fresh breeze. We head to the popular spot but found our 'own' little area away from the dozen or so boats. Water was 46-47 degrees, and a constant marking of fish on the bottom.. We started in about 68 ft. 15 minutes in, I'm giveing Mrs Mike the quick rundown on catching whities, and BOOM, I get a solid hit and bring up a nice 6lb'er. No skunk here!! We stayed there an hour or more, Mrs Mike had two on, but the whiteys werent going to go easy for her.. both were lost. We moved closer to the crowd, set up in about 75 feet, still marking steady on the bottom. I set the Mrs up with something new out of the tackle box and BAM! Fish on! This one makes it to the boat, and Mrs Mike has her first whitey. Thicker than the first one but not as long. Just a tab under 6lbs. We stay there a bit longer, still constantly marking but nothing more than a few light taps on the lures. We move around a bit, and watch the other boats bring in a fish every so often, but we werent getting anymore at all. So we call it a day, and come to shore with two decent whiteys, both had a clipped fin (one a right front, and one a right back).
We cooked about 2/3's and it was more than enough for 4 with enough for a small meal another day.
Pictures to follow......

lol, we're hardly the experts but its simple enough. Essentially we were jigging for them on the bottom, badboyz or williams were working for us.

well dok ...first trick is to find em ...then its finding the hungry ones ...then find out what they want and giver...some ol standard lures werk well like the williams and the jigging raps and now the bad boys type lures and i like my ol fav the good old nils...then a bit of finess sometimes required but if they hungry just hang on ......then u gotta cleam em and eat em ..wooo hooo man thats was fun .,,,got me pumped again
thanks dok

Hey Guys, Thanks for sharin'! That's what I love about this site, your always learnin'! My twin bro' (dok) and I usually stick to shore fishin', which is OK this time of year because the fish haven't moved out to deeper water yet. After reading what you guys have experienced and the finesse it takes to land those fish ... "Well I gotta get me a boat"! I can slip me bro' gravol or somethin'! Yeah, Gets seasick somethin' awful!! Keep it Safe Guys ~dokdok
PS. Hey Horseshoe, "You got me pumped up too". I don't mine cleanin' and eatin'em either, Love ta' shore lunch!! Hope the forecast for Sunday improves. I'm almost finished the "honey-do" list (damn thing keeps growing) and then there's some perch with my name on it!

Yeah Mike, I tried to jump on that deal, He sold it pretty quick at that price!
The only thing that I really need to justify at this point is the cost of fuel!
