We managed to get out for a few hours this marning between the winds ...glad we did ...heres a peek of today .,..now i gotta go do some cleaning ...report later

Finally ,.,,,heres the report :
Yesterday was a crusty day for ol grumpy horseshoe  ...can you believe that ..me crusty !!  ha ha,,, nyways late last nite me fadder called me was chattin about 9 pm and says gonna get frost ...I said gonna be hard with all the wind ...ol dad says no gonna stop ...well horsies mind starts going ...tuff gettin to sleep ...be dammed i dont wake up till 645 or so...always wake up around 6 but since its not windy i sleep in ..Grrrr,.,,,well i get coffee and start checking ..seems like i shuld be fishin...the message goes out to Gene and we 're off ...on the water before 8 ,,,marking fish in spot not far from dock 80 ish feet ..k lets check......shuldnt be wasting time tho but we stop ...rat tat rat bites ,,,hummm now would that be perch ....lets gooooooooo ....and away we went to my ol fav spot where i usually catch ...nope not today lotsa marks but no takers ...move a wee bit and bang a hit ,,,,first fish in boat ...phewwwwww no skunk...well we fish and fish ,,,no more hits ...so we move ...close to a small pack ...lotsa marks so we try there,,,holly doodle dandy ..bang fish on ...dubble headers ,,,catch some and lose,,,, hits n misses ...lotsa action in this spot ...then all out of the blue the glassy water gets a rippple and comes rite at us and the air changes to cool ...look at the fish finder ...no marks ..odd...then we land one more fish and lets goooooooooo...yup gettin ruffer and fast .....now for some it would be fine but with my tin can thats time to get OFF ,.,,,and we did and a great supplies when i got to the dock...Mrs H was there waitin fer her man ,,,thanks Mrs H ...had a great time ,,,spent the afternoon cleaning and cleaning up,,,,thanks WH ...good spur of the moment trip....ooopss fergot ...lures of choice nilsmaters and jigging raps ...various colors ..71 - 80 fow..

great post and pics horse!! looks like the spur of the moment trip paid off for you. now I see why mrs H needs a brine recipe! haha. Don't think I can go out today, but hoping to get a line wet over the weekend if the weather behaves.
How's the new GPS working? good I hope.
I'll definitely be going out next Friday (Thats the plan anyways).. taking a friend and her daughter out for the little girl's birthday so she can hopefully something bigger than a perch. If the weather's calm, we'll start off in the big water for mr. Whitie.. if its too rough, we'll play in Cook's bay for Mr. Pike.
