We were on the water about 8:30ish... lots of fog and using the gps as well... water was calm and it was already feeling a tad warm so we took a stroll up to the whiteygrounds.. we werent as lucky though... no bites, we were trying bad boyzz and williams of every color combination in the tackle box.. so we went to plan B and headed down to cooks bay.. (today's trip was a birthday present for an 11 yr old dtr of a co-worker and wanted her to be having her own fish tales to tell).
we hit cooks bay and trolled from the center to the east side and back again. Erica got the first strike and nicely pulled in a smaller but big to her, pike. She then pulled in a nice perch, then I hit a pike about the same size as hers. One more perch, a little sunburn, and we called it a great day on the lake and went home for a bbq.
here are some pics:
I love this ride through the harbour at Cooks Bay Marina in the morning. Tranquility
