So for the past day or 2 i been wotching the weather and hoping for a clam spell. That happened late last nite  and early this morning along with the thunderstoms heat and humidity ....dang its some warm now ...taking a break from lawn work as I do this report ...This mornin 550 am I'm up and atter ...check the computer weather. so far so good...now check ol horseshoes weather rock ...humm hard to see,,,means its a bit foggy...i best run to lake and look ...so out to the truck while the coffee brews and off to lake ..yup its a go, but it is a bit foggy. Get set up and whiteyhunter arrives and off we go to launch ...get the boat in the water and click click ..not go ...ffs battery wont turn motor ...someone yells check the posts be sure they tight ...one was wee bit loose ..tightened and tried and verrrrrrrrrroooomm shes runnin,,, now anudder buddy met us at the launch an was waiting ...glad i bought that new Garmin gps76 cxi c/w maps....its foggy and we ARE gonna use it ...navigate out safely past the isles and found a spot ...well after 4 hours of fishing and lots of good luck we headed home ....the lake was calm the fog lifted about 9 30 am  fished about 80  fow ...the lucky lure today was Jigging Rapella......lots of boats out and ran into the board Admin out there as we were leaving just after he pulled up ...how'd ya make out mike ?? ..ALL in all it was a great day. Whiteyhunter and ol Horseshoe ...putting the fun back in fishing ....

Safe boating all ...and we did see the police boat out checking..be sure u have the required things.

Great Report Horseshoe ... Glad ya had that new GPS this mornin' huh! She turned out to be a beauty day in London as well. I hope to get out after dinner tonight ...!!

We were on the water about 8:30ish... lots of fog and using the gps as well... water was calm and it was already feeling a tad warm so we took a stroll up to the whiteygrounds.. we werent as lucky though... no bites, we were trying bad boyzz and williams of every color combination in the tackle box.. so we went to plan B and headed down to cooks bay.. (today's trip was a birthday present for an 11 yr old dtr of a co-worker and wanted her to be having her own fish tales to tell).

we hit cooks bay and trolled from the center to the east side and back again. Erica got the first strike and nicely pulled in a smaller but big to her, pike. She then pulled in a nice perch, then I hit a pike about the same size as hers. One more perch, a little sunburn, and we called it a great day on the lake and went home for a bbq.

Hi Mike ...great report ...now thats puttin the fun back in fishing ...bet there was a few sunburns there too...lol...shame ya didnt hook into a few whities or lakers ...we marked a lot but i think the storms slowed them down a bit...ya sorta hadda work to get em to hit ...now go buy a jiggin rap ...lol...nevertheless u had a great day out.
