Waited and Waited .. Finally around lunch time Hanna Finally arrived 'all excited' to go fishing Whoooo Hooooo ... A first for her .. WANTED to go out in the boat but the black clouds made me stay on shore for the safety of the child.. She's never been on a boat before either .. the first ride needs to be special not scary.. For her anyway !
So around to Bonnie Boats to Grab Worms .... and Zoom over to the Government dock .. Of course I stopped earlier and got HER a residence Pass on her sisters address ..
Hanna and I spent some time Setting up her rod with bobber and a silver jig head..She squirmed as I stabbed the first worm she ever touched on that hook .....
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA .. little girls are so Squeamish ... HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
I casted it in for her and of course right away she wanted to reel it in... Never fished before ... Although the actual action of reeling was VERY DIFFICULT for her She kept up like a trooper ! I caught a few Perch and a small bass while she tried and Tried to Get the reeling thing down... man that's tough ... imagine .. NOT BEING ABLE TO REEL ! ? So I hooked a perch and let her 'feel' the fish on the rod still swimming ... She kinda shuddered and said a bunch of jibberish that sounded kinda like ''That was cool I could feel the fish'' .... Man I hope that's what she said..HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
During the time we were there, The Fine Men from Bonnie Boats brought her a really nice Hoody sweater and a dozen worms ... What a Nice thing to do Boys ! ! Her Mom said .. Why did they do that ? ! Because their Friends Tracy ! THANKS GUYS .... Really made the little Girls day ! And She has a sweater for When We go out on the Boat ... Her New Favourite Sweater....
Then the Huge York Regional Police Boat came rolling in the Harbour ... They made Their way to the gas dock at Bonnie Boats before They made Their way over to Check us out .... Hanna was overwhelmed by the approach of such a Huge Boat .. then a couple Police Officers came out on the Bow.. '' Hey Sly we're gonna land right there'' .... PERFECT.. They called Hanna by name and greeted her with a couple treats , a Small floating flashlight , a Safety whistle, a compass and Clip with the Police Boats Name on it ... Now That was NICE .! ! Thanks again to the Authorities for making a safe day near the water even safer . You Guys Are Great ! ! That was so cool ...She WANTED to go for a ride though ... She waved and waved ... Next time I told Her ... Man I was Nice to see her Laugh and Smile ! ! Again Thanks ! ! From Her and Me ! !
FisherDave even Stopped By and said Hi ! ! Thanks for the Visit Bro ! See ya down there tomorrow I'm sure.. It was good for me to Fish again today as well................And I got a bunch of smaller fish .......but We got fish ! ... Thanks Fishcatcher for the donated Rod , Turned out for Mom .. She loves it 'cept I told her she can't fish till she gets her Licence... She thought I was joking ... Wasn't long before she said OK OK where do I buy a Licence .. HA HA HA HA HA HA .. And again Thanks to Icedude and Grant for the rod kit for her .. Man she was just Grinning ! ! ! !
Thanks to All of You Guys ... It made a Mom and Daughters Day ... Mine too ! ! ! ... What a great couple Hours ...
Wasn't long and Her and I both needed to Get out of the Sun... She didn't want to Leave ...... ME EITHER ! ! But WE both had to ..

Hanna is an eight year old Girl that has some serious disabilities...
Someone I know is gonna Show her just what abilities she has .. Her legs are completely 'dead' for lack of another word , and her hands are Out of control most times .. But Guess who took her for her very first ATV ride .....
Her Mom was a long time ago friend that the internet has brought back into my life ... Hadn't seen Hanna since 2003 . That was a rough year for my family .. But Now I know I can make a difference in her life .. They Now live in Barrie ..

All a man/woman can do in this world is ' make a difference' in any way that's possible .. That Smile . Can't fake or buy that !
She is a special person who never asked anything of anybody ! Chills my heart to see the way her daddy ( and I use no capitals there on purpose ) Treats her ..
Gonna have to 'build' a rod holder for her chair , and a special reel for her ...But I tell ya , it'll happen . The thing is , and I guess a lesson was learned again, the actual act of fishing gave us a reason to be together at shore ... The fishing really didn't matter .. it was the compasionate words of encouragement ,, The Sweet times spent between friends ! ! ! BUT We did catch fish and she touched her first worm , her first perch and her first fishing rod ...... Talked to her first Police Officer ( and now knows them as friendly and helpful ) More important things ; I could not think of 'cept the Hug and the 'high five' we shared when the first fish was landed ....... Man , AM I BLESSED, to be in a position to make a difference .
Any other moments in my life are very insignificant , ! ! ! ! ! (insert tears here )

My Next adventure ! ! ! ! PPPPHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTT
So well Thrusday I came home from the Hospital . unlocked the door and flipped on the 'lights' NOTHING ! !
HUH ! ! ! ! ? ?
Went outside to now notice NO HYDRO METER ! !?!?! W T F ! ! !
Checked within myself ... Yes the Hydro the gas the rent and the Water is all included in my rent ..."included" ... Called my landlord .. He just built himself a new house .. Turns out 'his partner' pays the bills .. He get back to me ...
"He'll get back to me " ? Pardon !?
to No avail .. I'm euchured ....No written Lease , no rental agreement , No 'legal document' ........ Been here since 2003 . Don't know what to do ... AND of course a long weekend to really HELP ! ! ! No answer at any government office till Wednesday ...Freakin Perfect ! !
Finnybobarino brought me a BIG generator... Ran a Large 4 wire number 8 feed to my panel .. WE NOW HAVE " full power captain" so the freezer has power and the fridge and even the Hotwater Tank ... Just a little Noisey and of course the cost of GAS ... Jeez ...
My Next adventure is to find a new place to live and move all at the same time as I'm going thru ....... Well you all know the Chemo thing ...
How Much fun is one man allowed to have !

wow Sly.. when it rains it pours huh? Good thing you got the generator to tide you over...
It's obvious they just cant do it but now you're stuck trying to correct it. Not sure if the landlord tenant act can help with the appropriate agency.. but the real kick is it's something else to deal with in the meantime..the landlord does have certain obligations. You might be able to put a hold on the July 1st rent and move it to an account 'in trust' until its sorted out.. maybe a visit from a newspaper or television reporter might get some 'exposure' on the situation as well. just a thought... hope it gets sorted out QUICKLY for you.

Hey Slyatv,
Yeah, your having a frustrating time right now ....
If it was me, I'd add these issues or tasks to a "To Do List" and get to it when ya can (no worries!). My priority would be to do the things I really enjoy doin' like sharin' a day with a special child or fishing for the big monster!! Ya know, things that keep your life positive n' simple and make ya happy!! Well, that's me and my thoughts ... One step at a time buddy ... Thanks for sharin' and stay positive ~dokdok
