Old horseshoe and I had an early supper and then headed for the dock for a little shorefishing. We  got there and got set up but it was kinda busy with divers and kids and fishers. The fishing was slow but a few fish were being caught....NOT gonna mention who was catching as I stood there...anyways he caught a nice bass about 1.5 lbs. After the release I notice the warden heading our way....I just got my brand new sport card ( made old horsie spend a few bucks the bugger.... bought me a conservation so I made him upgrade, the nerve , gawd he's a tightwad) I was first to be checked ...I must mention this was my first time being checked too. As he was checking old horseshoe ...I get a hit ...yessssss its a FISH on! I gotta mention I am using 6 lb test and a 6 foot Fenwick walleye rod ...so on the stiffer side ...nevertheless ..its bent and bent big time ...the wardens eyes were big and he had a huge grin as he wotched..I worked at it and realized my line wasnt winding in properly so I knew rite away what the problem was turn that knob at the front ..all  of a  sudden it was slack...yessssssss goneeeeeeeeeee...boooooooo hoooooooo i  hate that everyone was watching tooooooo and were all disappointed, but not as bad as I was ...and after a post fishing review I now know "dont touch the drag" ...grrrrrrrr...Nevertheless I had a great time out ...felt the weight and had the adrenalin rush for a few minutes. I'm pumped now and ready to go again tonite ...maybe I'll get my hook back ..hahaha....hope to see you out there and have a fun filled fish weekend.

You have to play with the warden when they ask for your lisence,

A couple years ago I was finshing at the ponds in waterford, the warden comes walking up and asked me for my lisence, so I hand him my drivers lisence (lol) , he looks at it and says , No, your other lisence ... soooooo I hand him my pesticide applicators lisence (LOL!) Finally he asked me how many more lisences I have? I said ... ohhh I can do this all day, Warden replies... As funny as this may seem to you, the next lisence you hand me better be your fishing lisense.... sooooooo I hand him my fishing lisence but it was covered with my scuba lisence :D

I think the warden just went home for the day when he was done with me.

Many years ago, (prolly 15 or so) Me and a group of guys headed out to Orno Ontario for the rainbow trout opener in April. We go to Orno and out the other side about 8 miles out, onto Crown Land. From the side of the road we trek about 2 miles into the bush and set up camp. Finished that around 9pm, light the fire and start the party. Midnight's coming quickly, so we decide to go over to the river with the flashlight and have a look at the beuties hugging the bank. While we do this, I can hear someone coming through the bush. Sure enough, Mr. Ministry with his massive flashlight in my eyes, says " hope there's no rods in your hands" followed by "licences please". I couldn't believe it, 15 million miles out in Buttmunch Nowhere and I run into the Ministry? LOL ! Well, we all had the paperwork and no rods in hand and he was quite the friendly fella. Showed us some pools and even came back for a beer. Just goes to show, anywhere - anytime, don't be a dick - have your chit in order.
