We got out to our first stop and the water was like glass

...fished about 45 mins ..lots of smaller perch so we headed

off to our next planned stop...and again we fished for about

45 mins...perch are a bit bigger here and clouds  going by

pretty frequently ...hope its a sign of some good fall

fishing ....then we head off to the big water to see whats

going on,,,,on the way there we found this carp...

Took my son to Lake Simcoe today and tried to meet up with Horseshoe but Junior was late getting his butt out of bed and I missed my buddy. Cruised over to between Snake Island and Fox Island and started to jig with nothing but a 1/4 oz lead jig and a 3 inch white Mr. Twister Grub. It don't get any simpler than that. After about 15 minutes BANG and the fight was on because I was using ultralight gear and 4 pound test. I thought until we got it into the boat that it was a small mouth bass but nope. It was a 14 1/4 inch perch and for the bonus.... it had a worm harness stuck in it's yap. So I get a good meal and free tackle too. I can get to like Lake Simcoe A LOT!!!!
I´m keeping the fish but I will sell the harness back to the original owner for $5.00 ´cause it´s got a hell of a story attached to it. JeJeJe!!!:D

1.81 pounds...just weighed Horseshoe

You and the Mrs H had a great day out there. If OP and I knew you were out there we would have looked for ya. It was a really nice calm day to be on the water.
