I’ve been exploring Lake Simcoe from a distance for sometime now.
Having read several posts and reviewed countless adventures of this great area,
I was afforded the opportunity to return recently, to do a little exploring of my own!
I’m still smilin’!!
Thanks for the opportunity Horseshoe!
And, my brother and I thank you for being a great host too!
So, Dok3 and I left London around 4:15am and arrived in Innisfil around 7:00am.
We met up with Horseshoe at the gate to the launch area. Oh no, we’re locked out!
We quickly got introduced and devised a strategic plan. Soon we had “Plan B” put into action.
Dok3 and I took a quick trip to the Firehall to find the keeper of the gate and then off to Timmies to pick up the nectar of the fish gods (hahaha).
Horseshoe has the boat ready to launch by the time we got back and soon a beautiful calm lake with a gorgeous sunrise welcomes us as we depart the launch area.
We’re off and horseshoe does a quick rundown and has everything well at hand!
Did I tell ya I was smilin’…
I’m thinkin’ “Lake Simcoe“ - We made it, we’re on it and we’re fishin’ it! hahaha
Now we had some decisions to make and with that came … lakers, perchin, deep, shallow, types of baits, speed, jiggin, trollin’, shall we fish over here or over there (lol)
Boy I’m sure glad we picked up those timmies! “So much to do and soooo little time”.
Now these fishers from London didn’t know sh@t about lake fishin’ but I tell ya we sure got a great lesson this day! Horseshoe soon had us onto some perchin fun’ and boy did we have a great time!

Hey Mike,
We're gonna be back real soon and I promise to get there to see ya too!
Me bro got feelin' really bad (sore back) and we decided it be best to head back to London.
Lucky for him the waters were really calm yesterday.
Horseshoe tried at first to turn us onto a laker or 2. We were markin 'em but no takers and then before ya knew it we were into some perch and lovin' every minute of it! Boy time flies by when your havin' fun!
