Hi everyone,
i am new to the Web site,,not an expert in fishing but an excited starter just bought a full gear from Bass Pro for $250 ( thanks to my friend Nick , who helped me picking the right stuff..i hope ) , i am heading to Simco lake this Sat..hope it will fun and enjoyable ..i will keep you guys posted if i end up with a big catch ,,lol or a small one
Does anyone know where we can rent a boat ?

Glad you found us RedFish! Look forward to reading some stories and seing a few pics. I have never rented a boat on Simcoe so not sure where to start. Good luck and let us know how you did!

Hello Redfish...welcome to gofishont and hope you enjoy. I dont want you to feel dissappointed but i'm gonna bet u spend another 250 before long ...hahaha ...and then theres ice fishin...lol.. dunno what side you wanna be on or what end u wanna be at for boat rental ...buttttt ...cooks Bay theres Peter at http://www.icecabins.com or Lake Simcoe Marina in Lefroy or Blue beacon i think still rents at the narrows in orillia...thats all i know on the barrie side...and over on beaverton side I think and i aint 100% Talbot Baits rents . Maybe if Slyatv sees this he can tell ya about south and east side..nevertheless hope you have a fun day fishing and dont ferget your camera and report..for bait have a look on the home page button at the top left no your other left ......safe fishing

we ended up going to little lake north of Barrie, we catsh1 Bass, yes only one ( and the guy lost the fish with the ancher because it was not attached properly to the boat) , yes he was an expert if you are wondering to what happened !! but he was drinking beer since 6 AM..maybe that will give you a hint ,,heehe
.few small Pike ..but nothing more than that ,,i think the lake is over fished ..no big fish to be proud of !

oops them beers thing aint good when ya fishin,,could cause you a lot of problems but thanks for the report and better luck next trip out ....simcoe is always a pretty good place to fish ..always something to catch ...try the barrie dock area yu;ll see the people there
