We went out for some fishing on the Thames.  We were catching small mouth and rock bass in the late afternoon.

The sun went down and we still felt like fishing so we decided to build a small fire.

Then the catfish started to bite.  I got one first, and then Julie did.  Hers was the biggest catch of the night.

And then the wind started rustling the leaves and an eerie chill blew in the air.  Julie started to get the creeps.

She took a picture of the fire and she swore she saw an image of a devil in the flames.   I just laughed it off.  But she was now thoroughly spooked.  So she thought it was a good time to call it a night.  I agreed, butr we'll be back again sometime soon to do some more Thames river fishin'.

went out for some fishing, the walleye have been on fire underneath fanshawe dam, ( some people taking more than their fair share though! not too impressed with that). Went out fishing on tuesday for an hour and got only one fish but it was a little 10 inch walleye caught on a damselfly in the shallows. Today I went fishing again and I got a couple of bites (gf took me fishing before she had to go to work) got a couple of good ones ( never got them out of the water though). First time trying out my copper john ( instantly my favourite fly now!) no pictures though because I left it in the car (too muddy down there to risk my camera) I will work on the pics though sometime soon, saturday will be my next big fishing trip hope to see some of you guys out there?

Fishing is starting to pickup a bit guys....I totally agree there's way too many "meat" fisherman at Fanshawe......keep an eye on some of them and call the MNR if need be! I've seen people fishing with 2 rods among other things...
