There isn't really any "hot spots" in the Hammer for fishing (that I know of)
If you are looking for some good bass fishing I suggest going to Waterford, also at the top of Dundas in Greensville you can fish for smallies and pike , I believe it is called crooks hollow.
If you want some Pike I suggest driving the back roads of Flamborough, on the 8th connsession there are some great pond fed brooks with some good Pike action
I hope I don't get heat for saying this as I am new to the forum, but stay away from the conservation areas such as Christy and 50 Point, it is MY opinion that they feed the ponds and it is impossible to catch anything, I have never been to Binbrook Conservation, I have heard the fishing isn't bad there but the other conservation areas left a bad impression on me and dont want to bother.

zzzsss,
You don,t mention a boat so I am assuming you want reference to fishing from shore. Although most conservation areas are not good Binbrook is pretty consistent, some pike as well as walleye and certainly not crowded. Hamilton Bay is not too bad. You can go to the Marina on the Burlinton side and work along the shore. Using small jigs and tubes is very effective for perch sheepshead pike and some bass in season. Fish above the dam at Crooks Hollow above Dundas and you will catch some decent pike and largemouth spinner baits and buzz baits work well. You have to keep your lure off the bottom or you will be constantly snagged. Another good place for walleye is the west side of the Grand River south of the bridge at York. In-line spinners and jigs work well. Be careful of the current. Hope this helps. If you want more info send me your phone number and I can give you more detail.

Hey Horseshoe,
Hope all is well.
Been busy chasing the bows the past few weeks. Now it's time to get the boat ready for the whitefish opener....only 10 more sleeps.

Opens during bass season. Best to fish valens from a canoe----no gas motor allowed.
I suggest grab some waders and head to the dam in Caladonia. Decent amount of bows still in there. Had 3 on fishing there Sat afternoon after the crowd left.

Thank you for the welcome Horseshoe, I never had much luck and the Caladonia dam , but I hear a lot of people love fishing there. There used to be come big cats(if you are into that) on the lake side of the Dunville dam when I used to fish there years ago, I drive by there now and then and still see a lot fishing there.
The ponds in Waterford are great lots of bass (when in season of course)
I cant wait my fiance leaves for a 2 week vaction next week and she is not into fishing so you know what I will be doing the whole time she is gone
