Poured me a coffee, sat down at the kitchen table and began to read the local news paper. Yeah thats how I started my Father's Day! I really had a great day with the family and I hope you did too!

The reason for this post thou, was to send out a big thank you to all the people who are hard at work keeping our fisheries alive and well.

I'm posting a link to a local news paper which headlined this story "Stewards of the Streams" which describes what they do in my area to enhance our fishing experience and I'm sure you'll find the same happenings in your neck of the woods ...

 35,000 new baby rainbow trout released to return to us another day ...

This story (and many others by "A River") is well worth the read ...

Just think when you catch that next rainbow in the Thames, it may have been hatched here in London 5 years ago!!

Thames River Anglers Association - Randy Bailey holds a bag of rainbow trout fry to be released into Dingman Creek ...
