Hello Redbeard, I haven't been out to Glasgow yet and there's not a whole lot posted for the area either that I can find anyway. Try searchin' for "yellow perch" in Port Stanley and you should find a few links that will peak your interest! Keep us posted, Thanks ~dokdok

Well Redbeard and other perch lovers, 2 of my brothers picked me up around 7am on Saturday mornin' ... We decided the perch were gonna be in Port Bruce... I love this town!!

We were pier fishin' along with about 50 others ... man was it busy. I didn't see tight lines thou, yeah nothin' but frowns that mornin!! I had a timmies so I was good (lol). We decided to try further down the coast. No bites there either. Went back to the pier, still full of fisherman catchin nothin' that I could see anyway ... seen all kinds of boats about a half mile out and some heading in already ... Lotsa perch could be had in 25-30 feet of water. Guys passin' by in their boats had their limits. Yeah, we heckled them a bit!! (sore losers hahaha). Hopin' they would throw us a couple, but no takers (lol).

Well we headed inland and hooked onto some nice white bass and than the rain come!! :( Well just my luck, no perch for din din tonight. It's a good thing my bro was out the week before (on a boat too) and has a good feed in the freezer waiting for our next get together. What a great day at the lake ... I hope yours was fun too!!

PS. I wondered how the day may have turned out if we went to Port Glascow instead (Hmmmmm) Lake Erie fishin' ... Ya gotta love it!! ~dokdok

Hey everyone, My neighbour and i headed down to Port Bruce yesterday and the wind was a little much but the fish perch were there but not too interested in biting. It was slow but people were catching nice sized fish. I brought only one decent sized one. I might head back out tonight to Port Glasgow or somthing, I havent quite decided yet. Just wanted to let everyone know what was happening. Oh yeah...be carefull out there dipping for minnows. A guy fell off the Pier last night because the waves dragged him in and he was lucky there were strong guys to pull him out AND he's lucky someone saw him go in because he didn't make a sound. Very lucky guy, he would have definately drowned. See you at the pier!

Hey everyone I fished perch pretty haard this weekend and here are the results. First my nieghbor and i went to Port Glasgow on Saturday and was there a couple hours and only got 1, then went back in the evening on sunday and came home with 7. Yesterday morning first thing i put the boat in Lake Erie and out in 25-20 ft of water tied into come perch but also tied into an even bigger pack of gobies...that wasn't much fun but came home with a couple more perch. THEN last night i put the boat in at Port Stanley and fished off the east breakwall because thats where all the boats were and came home with a bunch of smelt and 8 more perch, so all in all not a bad weekend but I would like to tie into a good school soon. Keep me posted people and have fun out there! Take a kid fishing if you can, the payoffs are awesome.
