Furious_D says I needs some fish time and I want to show ya where I fish ....
So off we go .... hahaha
A very pretty spot on the Thames too! Fall time colors are just started to peak through.

It was late in the day so we were scrambling to put some fish on, they were jumpin' all around us and I gets this feelin' someones gonna hit one soon! Getting a few hits and misses ... and then

Silver bass on ...

Getting dark fast folks, still time for a couple more hahaha

F_D says I got flash lights, we may need them (lol)

Boy did it get dark too ... and then

Golden Redhorse sucker landed!

Well, Furious_D was a kind host and let me land the fish tonite.

Thanks for the fishin fun F_D ... It was a pleasure to meet ya!!!

Now which way to the car, can't see a dam thing out here hahaha! :D

Kilworth adventures! :P droolin' ~dokdok / F_D

It was a pleasure to meet ya too, dokdok.   Glad you had a good time.  It was nice to be out with somebody for once.  Maybe next time I won't be so stubborn and I'll try using some worm!  Hopefully I'll have better luck on the weekend perchin'.  I'll be sure to bring a camera this time.

It's been a long busy week at work so I decided to treat myself and took a visit to angling sport to pick up a new rod and some gear.  Great store and staff by the way.  Of course I couldn't let my new toys go untested... off to the usual spot.

Last time I was out, dokdok was kind of enough to leave me with a rig I dubbed "the dokdok special."  So I decided to give it a go and it worked like a charm!  Thanks again, dokdok!

btw dokdok, they were jumpin' again like crazy.  I was at the spot just beside where we were last time and across the river something real big was a jumpin'

Fall spawners are in the river, if you catch a Salmon then it is natural and would be really good if you released it as there are not many in Lake Erie.

Normally I eat what I catch but due to the depleted numbers of Salmon in Erie I release them.

Vans,  I was talking with a hiker by the river who mentioned the odd salmon does make it up that way.  He also said by the time they make it there, they are petty beat up though.  When I'm fishing the Thames it's always catch and release for me, especially when it comes to fish that are depleted in numbers.
