Went out for a quick fish on Fri. Freb. 22 and had a blast. Landed 7 walleye with the small one @2 lbs. and the rest at 5-6 lbs. Blue and light blue hopkins smoothy did its job. A fair amount of un-successful hits kept you on your toes as well with another 4 that made it to the hole but not on top of the ice.
Sat hit the same area for 5 hours and there was only one take and it was long line release. Oh well another great day out on the water with my wife. She is starting to make this a habit, lucky me since she is my best friend.

| Pat had the one take for the afternoon and did not bother to set the hook, first time out walleye fishing for her. Had the fish take the bait, fight her for 10/12 seconds, give a few tugs while she was reeling it in. I mention to her that she would need to be a little more agressive with the walleye then she is with perch and panfish, thats is when she said" oh you me a bjt of a harder pull at the beginning"....lol...good thing I love her.
