Ron Skevington has some theories.
Where have all the walleye gone?: As a lifelong angler, he believes populations are still abundant in the Bay of Quinte, even 15 years after habitat-killing zebra mussels were first spotted in the area. They're now just harder to find ...

| Hey Horseshoe, Yeah you got me motivated now ... I got out to renew my license and will soon be hitting the water. I've been nursin some wounds that I got from surgery a while back, but I can't stand being cooped up in this place for another day! Reading about all the good fishin going on around the country has sure got my blood boilin' (Fish Fever). This site has been my home away from home for a while now. Did I tell ya I was movin'? ... Yeah, "down by the river"!! Thanks for the motivation ~dokdok

The zebra thing is pretty old, I remember when your brightest lure would vanish 3 feet down.. then after the zebras you could see 15 feet down.. it's been getting murkier every year since.
There's a ton of walleye there, our guys did not bad tho there was only one caught over 10lb, but there were some 7, 5, 3, & less caught at our camp in Hay Bay. No $$ for gas, so I left the boat at home, cleaned fish & had a few pops. The Kiwanis thing did okay http://www.quinte.com/walleye/2007winners.html
Cheers guys

Hey Sunfish, Appreciate the update!. Yeah, Isn't the price of gas awful?
Solar powered (electric) boats will soon replace those gas hogs!
Wave of the future - Don't be in a hurry to get anywhere!!
