Well I still had a few days of vacation left and my brother, JDOS was able to arrange a couple days off so I headed down there near Kingston to help him fish his favourite fishin' hole. We headed out the first night for a late fish and the pike were ON!! Mostly smaller ones, but a couple nice ones too.. we kept the biggest pike (8lbs) and a bass. They were very tasty that night, served up in Joe's special double coating mix, served with some fries. Leftovers were served next day in buns yum yum

Here's JDOS with the pike and bass getting ready to clean them. The pike sure made that bass look tiny lol!

Then JDOS' wife Nancy shows up.. turns out she was invited out with her family to a private access lake further north and brought home these babies!! 7 keeper Bass (caught between 4). JDOS got the vote for cleaning them. Guess he shouldnt brag how he never leaves a bone in a filet!!

and the two bass from our final outing... threw back at least a dozen to be caught again next year! We also threw back a keeper pike as well caught by yours truly, but in all honesty we had our share of pike so he went back as well. Lost a few nice ones along the way including a huge pike that took my line right to the bottom and manage to snag us up. While waiting for him to shoot free, he somehow got the line in his mouth past the 9" leader and well you know the rest.. a lot of cussin haha.

But it was a fun few days out with JDOS and his wife Nancy.

I've been asked for a few pink ones as well... I'll do a final count and let you know if there are any left..

The first batch were definitely a success.. I have a couple here but still some peope that asked for them I'm waiting to hear from.. After that we can look & see if there's an interest in more or perhaps even something different. I'll check with the guy and see what makes sense... he was good to deal with, and my hat is so comfortable, its rarely off my head haha.
