I'm in the market for a new electric filleting knife. I would like one with a curved blade and NOT rechargeable. 12 volts is fine as long as it comes with a wall adapter. Your reviews and comments welcome.

Thank you in advance IFH

there's one in the prize list page for the derby, courtesy of Innisfil Bait & Tackle that seems to be exactly as you describe... name brand is American Angler.

I too have been looking into getting one but from looking at the various ones in the fishing sections and then comparing them to the regular ones you use for carving meat I really don't see the difference...........

I'd rather put out $12.00 to $20.00 rather than 40.  Any thoughts??

For Christmas the wife bought me an American Angler. Nice long curved blade that is AC, plug in. I tried it on perch and it works great!.  The curved blade helps when you are taking out the rib bones. I cleaned about 20 perch in 5 minutes and that used to take me about 30 minutes so for me it's worth it. Can't wait to try it on Rainbows and Walleye!

After seeing the knife at the MG on Simcoe, and Oldphart telling me how great they worked, I went out and brought one. I got one of the cheaper ones. The Storm cost me $18 at Lebaron, on sale in the fall. It works great and I have no complaints.
