| So after a very short lived trip on simcoe (refer to my other post) we decided to go to lake St. John....where we knew the ice was safe. We were slammin pike all morning, and decided to keep one. Not a bad size, nice and clean. Attachment: feb 9-08 003.jpg (Downloaded 59 times)

hey Bryan F..
i took my truck out on wed. got some pike and a few perch. the bigger pike are starting to come in. been getting them in the 8 to 11 lb range last two weeks.
tried to take my truck out again on thurs and dropped her threw the ice at the launch. didn't have the camera with me at the time. we yanked her out with another 4x4. was only in about 4 feet of water.
went back and took a pic of the hole i left.

never trust the ice. lol

did you walk out from the boat launch.
my sticks still there so one else falls in my hole.
how was the snow on the ice. it was deep when i was there. did it slush up.
the weather here today is ugly. winds gusting to 56 km/h. looking gooder near the end of the week and then colder for the weekend. but the forcast will all change a couple times before the weekend i am sure.
drop a note here and let me know when. i should be able to meet up with ya out there.
