Hey all,
I am new to the board and I was hoping this would help me gather some info on ice fishing Simcoe and help catch some fish. I was fishing yesterday (Sunday, Feb. 17th) from a bonnie Boat's hut for Whitefish and Lakers and caught nothing. We were sitting in 57 feet of water and the only thing I managed to hook was a twig full of mussles. The weather was terrible as well, rain, wind and it didn't seem to be very cold. I was wondering if someone might be able to give me some tips or info on where else I could go or who I could try booking a hut with to have better luck. Also, was wondering how weather conditions affect the fish and the depths of water they  may be sitting in. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers and good fishing to all,
Jas

Hey Jas... not sure what side you're fishing.. two recommendations for you:

Vito (Love 2 Fish Simcoe) has his huts over the big fish now 705-456-8745 on the West Side/ North end of Cook's Bay out of Lefroy

and

Simcoe Fishing Adventures on the east side of Cook's Bay out of Keswisk.  905-960-2652.

Both have ads to their respective web sites on the front page of the site here. Guarantee you will be looked after properly by these first class operations.

ps: welcome to the board and let us know how you make out.

Hello Jas ....nice to see ya on the board and ty for the report from yesterday. Also on the front page is Slys huts ...if you want to fish that side he's a good one to contact. As far as on the west side Love2fish Simoce is your best bet. Great people and good service too. I dont know how many huts they have out for whities so you best call before going. Good luck and let us know how you make out
