Hi Guys,

Hopefully someone can help. I am planning a trip up to Lake Temagami the last week in June and was wondering if anyone has any info, spots or tips. I will be taking my wife and 3 small kids and would like to catch some fish and find some things to do with the kids. We will be camping at Finlayson PP but have a boat and travelling the lake won't be a problem.

Thanks for your help.

HI KGB,

Temagami is a great spot and the fishing is good. Smallmouth will be about the easiest to catch up there in the summer any of your traditional smallmouth structure should hold fish ( Gravel/sand transitions, shoals, weed edges, etc.) The eyes are fairly easy to locate as well. Temagami is a very deep lake so I find the wallye relate to deeper structure try shoals in the 25-45 foot depths and possibly deeper during the day, with easy access to even deeper water.

I haven't fished around the park but I can ask a friend of mine that lives up there for some info.

Shoot me a PM and I can give you some more exact locations if you want.
