Domtar Plant.  I haven't fished it much and probally would't eat fish out of it. Some nice Pike near the rock ledges.

fish it often.  live 15 minutes away.

there is a plant there called "stepan".  do a google search for the details on the plant.

i see alot of people keep fish there.  i would think they are eating there share of them and they seem to return year after year to fish os can't be that polluted.

the lake is not large and gets alot of fishing pressure during the winter until couch and simcoe freeze up.  i spend most of my time fishing that lake threw the ice.  it is my practice lake for ice fishing derbies.

got your pan fish in there as well as bass, pike and eyes.  the lake average depth is 10 feet.  there some deeper spots out in the middle reaching 25 to 30 feet.

the fishing is fair to good most times.  not alot of boat traffic in the summer.

if you got specific questions.  go ahead i'll tell you what ican about it.

Fishing in LAke St. john can be great early ice for Walleyes. If you know where to go and what to do. The Walleye population in this lake has flourished and very few of these beauties are affected by "Stepan" the soap factory on the south side of the lack. Take a trip there and ask people on the lake what you want to know and i am sure they will guide the way for you. You may even see me. Good luck!!!

when you are composing a note it's the icon on the top row, far right. (has a checkmark and a ABC on it).

Used to be a Domtar plant there but it has been so many years since I fished it. Probally the late 70's.  Glad to see the lake is improving.
