altho today is cool damp miserable windy overcast rainy and dull ...it could be a fish day ...nevertheless the warmer weather sure showing effects of icemelt on lakes in the area...relate to your road maps if you cant see the lakes but it appears the very bottom of cooks is close to or has opened slightly and if you look also rice lake and scugog appear to have some water showing ...have a look see what you think ...opps just a fast edited here ...lol damm qunite looks to be nearly wide open too ...come FF what do u see there ??

Loved that picture were Balsam Lake looks a little bit like a mini me oF Simcoe! LOL

| I loved the weather today. Was on the water around 7am and fished till around noon. Windy as hell, cold. Water temps are still to cold for dem crappie. Low 40s still. This weekend should be the end of alot of this ice. Will be out again tomorrow, rain or shine. It's still better than being at home or work.

Hey bud,
Yeah I just opened my email and saw that you pm'd me in feb I do beleive. Thats how fast I reply,  . To bad I could not make it out that weekend. I told you befgore you are welcome anytime. Crappie opens on Balsam soon so I will be on there opening day again, seasching for dem slabs. Quinte will be open soon. Lots of water and so little time.  . I'm still busy as heck down at that one site. Never to busy to fish though. Will be on the water again this weekend for them crappie. I have a feelin that they will be in full force on Sunday.

When You ,me and FishChaser went down to Serges/ Titowoodys viewing I got a idea of how busy you are and of your family comitments.I hope now everything is going better. I know how much you wanted to go to the winter Quinte trip and of your support.( paid and did not go. WOW! ) We totally understand your reason for not going (and commend you for it!!!) With that said I will be up on Balsam for a few days after opening in May and would love to hook up with you (and your bud Paul , newfie 101) for a few days fishing! I will pm/e-mail the details when i get them . Again thanks for you support ! You are one hell of a upstanding GUY ! I mean it!!!
