Over the holidays i was looking back at some older posts and thought some especially the newer members may enjoy looking at them so here they are a few memeries.
Its late June and the whitey fishing is still hot. GoFishOnt is born. A brand new board primarily for Lake Simcoe but it soon sets pace to most of Southern Ontario.
Some of the events that pop to mind. Mike breaks a few rods ...one on a pike and the other teaching Missus mike how to set a hook correctly ...hummmm...oh yessssss and we cant forget the shorts ..those eye stunning wet ya pants laffin ones.

Mrs Horseshoe ...well she dont fish much but this year she managed to get out in the boat for a few trips and a few hours of fun..caught her first whitefish and her first whitefish limit all in the same day as she wrestled with what we found out a week later was a faulty reel.The look was priceless !
Then there was Hawg Hunter, its salmon derby time and hes onto em ...be dammed if he dont win a boat. Now its ice time and hes out grabbing them quinte wallies.

Iceguy ...what can ya say about this young man ...tried for a few years to win a boat in the salmon didnt, but finally makes it to the fish off...and instead of fishing he rescues a capsized fellow fisher and returns him and the boat to shore...what a guy not to mention all the great videos hes put together over the last 6 months. maybe u otta look at that for a career Ice!

A young fellow from the london area joins the board. His reports of lake erie fishing get our attention and theres some nice wallies and rainbows appearing in the reports. Then with fall onto us he becomes the Dave Duvall or for us older guys percy saltsman of GoFish. yup u got it thats him vanselena ...thanks vans !

Its the first part of august and Love to Fish Simcoe holds a customer appreciation day. Mrs H and I decided we'd head on over.. they had some neat prizes but i didnt win but had a nice time and thats what counts.

Then Greybear organizes a nice meet n greet for perch in the fall at Sibbalds Point...it was a great success and I hate to say but yes Ol Slyatv was the big winner. The weather was perfict the food was great with some special treats from Tommy, Brokenoutdrive and several others. It was great to meet so many new people and to be able to fish with them.

Olphart slug missy and shovel gave us a few good laffs with Olphart creatin some wonderful reports ...lucky
slug could catch fish.
As fall approached and the odd winter item went up for sale we all got to see what Mike looks like in an oversized floater suit that fishingbarry has for sale ..and we found out horseshoe still wears his cowboy jammies.

Its late October and a WhiteyHunter grabs a monster bass out of the depths of lake simcoe, likely some sort a record but not enought information there to make it official ...so he has to go out and do it all over again next year. Hope ya get that new camera !

My hat off to them !

As always, another great post! Thanks !It been a busy year for the board and we got to thank Mike for all his hard work! There have been many highs like Hawg Hunters winning the derby and a few lows, like us looseing a friend in Serge.There are lot of good people (too many to list) on this board and none of that finger pointing or BS. I come here ever day to get my fix and weather its Red fishers good humor or one of Ravine Rats helpful post I usually learn something. Thanks guy for a great year!  My 2cents

Wow. Excellent time capsule of the last 6 months, horseshoe.. a job really well done! It's a great reminder of the times we've had over the summer and captured here. Here's to many more great times!!!

| Thank's for the kind words horseshoe, Glad Mike S got this site off the ground so we can read and share our adventures with each other. Looking foward to the next six months, Also I'm looking foward to putting some names to faces at hardwater challenge. Keep up the work.
