Here's an interesting read and some good tips too!

http://www.marconews.com/news/2008/sep/17/hook-fishing-turning-you-green-it-should/
A young student named Johnny learns a few things about fishing green ... maybe you will too!

Points of interest in this news bulletin:
- New boat motors ( more efficient marine engine fuel and emission control)
- Slow Speed thru' backwater
- Save and release fish that are too small, too big or out of season
- New fishing Line called "bio-line" designed to dissolve in 3 years
- Ceramic Fishing weights to replace the common lead ones

He also learned to minimize the risk to fish by using items such as rustable circle hooks, a venting tool to deflate swim bladders and a dehooking tool.

I thought you should know. I enjoyed the read and I hope you do too!

While I'm on the green path ....

Did you know that there are a number of species that are over fished and should not be purchased?

Greenpeace has put together a red list of fish species.
