There will be a new chat room coming to the board very shortly (next couple of days). Nothing wrong with the old one, but this one will be better integrated into the userbase of the board and will be linked from buttons on the main panel. I'm just trying to get the "who's chatting" worked out then I will make it visible to all.

I got the chat in a little quicker than I anticipated... now you will see two things..
- a Chat button on the top in between the Members and Calendar buttons. The chat window will open up in a new box, so that multitaskers can scan the forums and sit in the chat room at the same time. Only registered users will see the chat button.
- a new window towards the bottom on the main menu titled, Flashchat Users which will show all members currently in the chatroom. This way you'll know if there's someone in there and you'd like to chat to them.
I encourage you all to have a look and give me any feedback. This was put in at the request of users and I wasnt very happy with the first chat window product I had tried here. It worked fine but they wanted some big bucks to upgrade so I could integrate it better to the board. This one is tied to the user database so there should be no need to sign into it a second time.
While anyone that is a registered user is welcome to use the chat at ANY time, I think we'll set up a window for a regular scheduled chat and see how that goes.. I'm thinking Wednesday at 8pm works best for me That way the users will know when a group chat will occur, we may be inclined to participate. Does this time work for those that wish to take advantage? Is one per week enough? I'm very flexible on this, and for that matter, dont be afraid to schedule your own chat. Make sure to put it in the calendar and mark it public so others can see.

ps: I really dont know much about HTML/php/java coding so sometimes these things take a bit longer for me.  But I'm learning fast! lol
I'll leave the original chat link up for a week or so. in case you want to compare the two products.. I think the second is much nicer myself.

wtg mike nice board ...has a lot of features tooo ...i wus playin wid it and man u shuld see da color i got here ...lol...an it keeps da settins u set under the options ...i likes it bye

Horseshoe, I've seen you've met Nemo... he's a bot and strictly for entertainment purposes, but as you and I saw, he can get annoying very fast haha.
I've reconfigured him to be in the room ONLY if there's one person in the room.. that way if someone is in there alone and waiting for someone to join, there's some entertainment value while you wait. Once a 2nd person joins, Nemo will excuse himself and leave so he's not interfering with any chat.
If we find he's still annoying us, then he gets flushed, just like in the movie haha.

lafffin i luvz nemo but he can get aggrivatin at times sure....sounds good to me havin him there holdin the room open ...hes a real yappy guy tho ...hahaha tc
