Adding video to the board is not always as straight forward as you'd think for one good reason...the authors tried to make it simple. Then photobucket tried to make it simple by adding some of the code needed, so it essence you get the code twice and that is what complicates the task (Simple + Simple = not simple).
For photobucket, I'll use Whitey's video he tried to post, as an example
On the photobucket site at the appropriate video movie selection, choose the option for websites & blogs, and the code provided is copied as follows:
<embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://img.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v624/Whitey/MOV01033.flv"></embed>
In actualy fact you only need the part bolded in blue that starts with http: and ends with the .flv .The text I highlighed in red can be deleted. I usually follow these steps:
- Paste the photobucket info into an empty notepad filed so you can see all the text at once.
- edit away the parts in red,
- copy the remainder of text
- go back to the message being posted. and select the "Insert a Windows Media Player Object"
- place the text into the http field that pops up. Be careful not to have the http:// in there twice.
The embedded code needed in red is put into the note by the wowbb software for you and you should be able to play the movie from inside your message. Hope this helps. Love seeing those videos!
