Who is, What is and how does one become an expert. Will reading one on my magazines today about fishing  at the end of the article it said," you read it from the experts". So this question came to mind, what makes him an expert. Just think of all the article's you read from so called experts - what are they tell you. There telling you about a strategy, a new lure or spoon, all in all its about something that worked for them. Iam shore you can write an article about a day out ice fishing and what worked for you. You know what - you have because every time you post your telling us something. It may be about the ice conditions, a location where there hitting, or about tactic you tried. The only difference is, it was not put in a magazine and you did not claim to be an expert. So if you select your gear, check the weather, check the ice conditions and can come back to tell someone what worked or didn't work for you then in my books your a expert too.

Redfisher - expert.

from the dictionary:

ex·pert (kspûrt)

n.
1. A person with a high degree of skill in or knowledge of a certain subject.
2.
a. The highest grade that can be achieved in marksmanship.
b. A person who has achieved this grade.

my definition:  someone who knows more and more about less and less, until he absolutely knows everything about nothing at all!

WHAT IS AN EXPERT?

Break the word down:  Ex - an has-been

Pert - a sprig of water

Put it back together ans you get a "hasbeen drip"
