Has anyone else ever paid much attention to how the ice leaves on our lakes??
Over the last # years as most of us, I have added the computer to my little bag of tricks to find my fish. Temps, ice conditions, weather, regs changes, great buds to fish with...etc. As from the link ( http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/region_map.html ) I’d left in a previous thread for an example.. I have enjoyed the benifits of watching how the ice melts away on the Kawarthas & area, L. Ont (weather & temps..), also info on my old Quinte home water’s.
Looking at the Kawarthas in the map attached, it’s not hard to see where a guy might wish to target spring walleye there.. The Quinte melted pretty interestingly, as did/does Simcoe..
Hope this is of help to any of our buds here. You can think of this as sunfish’s tip of the week..lol..
PS... anyone taking the kids out perch fishing?? The cats are in, as are the suckers. Ya ain’t got to eat’m to have fun.
PSS.. I’ll take care of all the perch tho..lol.. Yummy!!

by the looks of the weather this week, it should almost wrap it up!
Now all I need is an extra 10 hours a day and 2-3 more sets of hands and I might get caught up on the honey-do stuff!!

Well it looks like the ice is out in Haliburton now so the trips north will resume.
